NOMINATION FOR THE “VOTE OF THANKS” GRADUATION SPEECH

Thank you for your interest in delivering the Vote of Thanks Speech at your Graduation Ceremony. Please complete this form to submit your application.

The application must be submitted no later than Friday 18th September 2026.

ELIGIBILITY:

• You must be a student from the 2026 graduating class.
• You must be an undergraduate student from one of the following schools: School of Engineering or School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Health.
• Students may only apply once they have been conferred and received the email formally inviting them to attend the graduation ceremony, and once they have registered and paid (exceptions may apply subject to UOWD Event team approval).
• Candidates must have a clear academic record and be in good standing with the university.

Please upload a video recording of you delivering your proposed speech

a) The video should be 3 to 5 minutes in length
b) Ensure that the video is clear and audible. Filming in a quiet environment with good lighting is recommended.
c) Begin by stating your full name, degree program, and a brief introduction of yourself.
d) Save your video in one of the following formats: MP4, AVI, or MOV
e) Name the file as follows: "VoteofThanks_YourFullName" (e.g.,VoteofThanks_AlexSmith) 
f) Maximum file size is 10MB
